I started reading Psalms today, and with the inconsistent way that my emotions affect me it's encouraging to read the variety of emotions that David and the other psalmists felt able to bring before God. As they did, I need to focus on God, not being afraid to let Him know me as I am, and allowing who He is to illuminate my life and bring my emotions into alignment with His reality. God's not afraid to hear what's on my mind, He already knows it anyway. I believe that as I share my heart with Him, He will listen, and share His heart with me.
