This week, Pastor Mike Bronson continued his series with a message on prayer as part of the blueprint for making our life all that it's meant to be. He spoke from Acts 12:1-11. While Peter was locked up, the church was praying, and they were praying serious prayers. How often does prayer become just a thing we do, where we're not serious about it and we don't expect anything to happen? The church was praying for Peter, and God sent an angel to release him and escort him out of prison. God is fully able to accomplish the miraculous, things that would be completely impossible for us. Prayer is acknowledging that we can't do it in our own strength - when we don't pray, we're telling God we don't want or need His help. If we want things to change, we need to pray, having faith that God hears and responds, coming through for us in a way that only He can. Our prayers don't have to be long and impressive, and we don't need to have everything figured out. God wants to hear our honest prayers now.
