I write the way I speak, maybe with more clarity because I have time to think more. Hopefully as I write out my journey to becoming a more godly man, it will inspire that same desire in others. I'm God's handiwork, He's the one working on the Project, I just want to get on board with what He's doing!

Kip talked about having authentic, sincere faith on Sunday. He looked at the life of Timothy in the New Testament, and the point was that we need to live out our faith. What we learn doesn't always get put into action. What we are convinced of will be put into action. Do we act on what we've learned? If not, are we as convinced as we think we are? Do we have a sincere faith, or are we just playing a game? Then he talked about the importance of the Christian community in that faith. When we're around people and God is working in their lives, we become convinced that He can work in our lives. When we're around people with a genuine love for God, it inspires us to have a genuine love for God. Community is beneficial to our lives, and our faith, it makes sense that God would create us to have that kind of community around us. This message reminded me of James 2, especially verse 26: "As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." Do we want to have a living, active faith, or a hollow corpse of what once was faith? It's our choice.
