I write the way I speak, maybe with more clarity because I have time to think more. Hopefully as I write out my journey to becoming a more godly man, it will inspire that same desire in others. I'm God's handiwork, He's the one working on the Project, I just want to get on board with what He's doing!

Just a little food for thought today. I read John 19 & 20, and in John 20:29 it says, "Then Jesus told him, 'Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.' " In a culture that says, "Unless I see it myself, you can't prove it to me", or even "Only what I can see is real and substantial", we're missing out on this blessing. At some point we have to look at God's track record and take His existence and intervention on faith. Just because it's faith doesn't mean it's blind. There's such a thing as informed faith, where we use the mind God has given each of us to put together the pieces of evidence that are all around us. Imagine a judge throwing a murder case out of court because the prosecutor only had DNA evidence, the murder weapon, and a written confession, but hadn't actually seen the murder committed. It would be ludicrous in a courtroom, but that's what our culture does with faith in God every day. Just something to consider.
