This week at church, Pastor Kip talked about the importance of being connected. We're not meant to go through life alone, we need others to come around us and encourage us, to spur us into action to be the godly people we're called to be, people who we can do that for as well because we've developed relationships, because we've done life together as the family of God. We need people who can call us on what's going on inside, rather than just focusing on what's going on outside.
The Godly Man Project is all about consistency and being willing to change inside to become more godly. That's not something I can do on my own. To be a godly man, I must bring other godly people alongside of me, and also come alongside of them. My business isn't just my business, and their business isn't just theirs. As a community, everyone is affected by my choices, and I am affected by theirs. Godliness is a team effort.
God, I pray that I would be intentional about bringing the right people around me, so that we can mutually build each other up in character, and in our walk with You. I pray that You would bring those people across my path if I haven't met them yet, and that we would not be afraid to let others into our lives so that we might grow in godliness. Amen.
I'm proud of you for starting this Andrew. I'm enjoying the read.
ReplyDeleteThanks Chris. I plan to update it at least daily, unless I'm too busy to make it to a computer, in which case I'll be updating as soon as I can afterwards. I've been following along with your blog as well.
