I finished reading Mark today, and one thing that spoke to me, as someone who struggles with temptation and wants to overcome it, was Mark 14:38, "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak." I need to be alert, aware and ready, and I need to keep in communication with God. I'm glad that God has strategy already prepared for the battles we face.
The other thing that caught my attention was Mark 15:38, "The curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom." At the moment that Jesus died, He restored mankind's broken relationship with God, and ushered us into His presence. Thank God for doing the restorative work that we never could!
