God, in this new year may I redouble my commitment to following You with all my heart, soul, mind and strength. In 2012, there were plenty of times where I followed my own way instead of Yours, trusting my own plans and ideas, which apart from You have proved to be disastrous. Your way is one of truth, joy and peace, and I choose to lay down control of my life and hand it over to You. I want to learn from You this year, to give mercy as I have received it, to share the unconditional love that You have given me, to live the life that You have called me to and to be a godly man. Amen.
