Going through Genesis 26 today, I see Isaac following in the footsteps of his father, both good and bad. Making unwise choices out of fear, yet also making godly choices based on faith in God's promises. I also see that the source of Isaac's blessings, as it was with Abraham, is God. I can count on God's provision, and I need to be sure that when I follow others' examples that I'm also using the wisdom God has given me, since everyone makes mistakes I don't want to fall into the same ones as others by blindly following their actions - I can make enough mistakes on my own by not using God's wisdom.
