I read Joshua 21 today, and the last verse hit me. Verse 45 says: "Not one of all the Lord's good promises to the house of Israel failed; every one was fulfilled."
There's an example of God's trustworthiness, it helps to have those examples and reminders for when I begin to wonder about the things He's promised me.
Another thing I figured out today is that maybe sometimes when I want to do something to relax and I'm not sure what, what I really need is to rest. I was tired and irritable this afternoon, seemingly for no reason, and then I had an unexpected hour-long nap, and I felt better afterwards. Just one more thing for me to keep in mind when it comes to trusting God and allowing Him to give me rest.
God, give me wisdom to accept the gifts that You give, rather than trying to figure out what I need on my own. Amen.
