The irritability resurfaced a little bit later, but talking about it with my parents helped, and after having dinner with them and my brother & his fiancee, I was feeling much better. Then we did our gift exchange for Christmas, and although I wasn't really wanting anything in particular, the gifts I got were the best I could've hoped for. Plus, getting to spend some quality time with family! And now to watch 'The Dark Knight Rises' with my parents... a perfect ending to a day with a rather difficult beginning.
God, thank you for family, and the privilege of being born into mine. Bless them this year, as well as the church family that You have placed me in. Amen.
