I read 2 Corinthians 7 & 8 today, and in chapter 8 I found encouragement relating to giving. I guess two of my biggest concerns in giving, to be honest, are that I'm unable to meet every need out there, and that if I do give I won't have enough myself. This passage addresses both the guilt and the fear. 2 Corinthians 8:12-15 says, "For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what he does not have. / Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. / At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, / as it is written: 'He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little.' " I will try my best not to worry about money, but trust God, who blesses us with all that we need, and obey Him when He tells me to give out of what I have.
