Today I read the first 2 chapters of 1 Corinthians, and chapter 2 talks about knowing God's wisdom, taught by the Holy Spirit. Verse 12 says, "We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us." If I want to know the wisdom of God, I must be paying attention to His Spirit. What seems like foolishness to me otherwise could be His wisdom, and what seems like wisdom to me otherwise could be very foolish to Him. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; / in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." I need to keep my trust in God, listen to His Spirit, and allow Him to set my path.
