I write the way I speak, maybe with more clarity because I have time to think more. Hopefully as I write out my journey to becoming a more godly man, it will inspire that same desire in others. I'm God's handiwork, He's the one working on the Project, I just want to get on board with what He's doing!

I read 1 Corinthians 9 & 10 today, and in chapter 10 I find my thoughts from yesterday summed up quite well. Verse 24 says, "Nobody should seek his own good, but the good of others." Verses 31-32 say, "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. / Do not cause anyone to stumble..." Quite a far cry from a culture that strives to climb to the top of the ladder, on the backs of those less fortunate. An attitude of self-preservation is natural, but preservation of others is greater, and that's what we're called to. When everyone strives to get ahead themselves at any cost, there's no satisfaction and not everyone can get where they feel they deserve to be. When everyone strives to build others up, not only is it far more satisfying, we see more people benefit, we feel more grateful, and there's a greater sense of community. God's will may disagree with ours, but He's not stupid. He created this world, and knows how it works. He designed us, and knows our inner workings. When we follow His way, life may not be easy, we may still suffer, but life will work better, because we're listening to the designer explain how what He created works.
